Grilled Shrimp with mashed potatoes
A perfect outdoor dinner, honestly I do not eat grilled shrimps but this is what my family makes pretty often and they love it.
We used 2 different marinating ingredients
You will need 1 kg (2 pounds) medium to large sized shrimp with or without skin.
Divide the shrimp into two equal parts to marinate them differently if you like.
Marinate for two hours.
First marinate ingredient:
1 cup plain yogurt
½ teaspoon ginger powder
½ teaspoon tandoori
½ teaspoon garlic powder or 1 fresh garlic clove
Salt
Pepper
Second Marinate ingredient:
5 garlics crushed
2 large red onions grated
2 tablespoon of tandoori spice
¼ cup white vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Mash potatoes
4 large potatoes
Salt
½ cup milk
25g butter
Pepper
Boil potatoes for 20 minutes approximately, peal skin and cut while hot, add butter mash with fork or hand mixer, add milk gradually, season with salt and pepper.
Use barbecue grilling nets to grill the shrimp, 3 to 4 minutes on each side would be enough.
This has nothing to do with the shrimps but this is where I want to be right now. Heart break.
